Welcome to the beautiful City of Windsor! Located in Southern Ontario's scenic Essex County, Windsor brings a wholesome, country feeling to the big city. Originally formed from the three towns of Sandwich, Walkerville, and "Ford City" Industrial Complex, Windsor's start began in the 1930's following World War I and with the establishment of the auto industry. Now in 2002, Windsor stands as both a city of industry, and a city of commerce.
With the diversity of cultures, Windsor boasts some of the most distinctive and stunning Arts and Entrainment festivals around. Festivals such as, The Buskers Festival held in August and The International Freedom Festival held at the end of June, take place on Windsor's Picturesque River Front, located on the Detroit River. The riverfront spans an impressive 12 KM, and includes the Peace Fountain, the immaculate Sculpture Garden, and looks out upon the Detroit Sky Line.

Along with our beautiful scenery, we also have a wide variety of entertainment for all ages. Casino Windsor and The Windsor Raceway, both offer the chance win it big. International cuisines, mixed with the enjoyable entertainment of the Showtime Lounge and the Gaming sections, what adult wouldn't love what Casino Windsor has to offer? If live horse racing is more your thing, make sure you stop by the Windsor Raceway and catch the live races. In need of a change of pace, then make sure you check out the elegant Windsor Symphony, or Windsor's Light Opera. If art is more your thing, the Art Gallery of Windsor holds a striking collection of pieces. The first stop on our little tour will be the sweetest town of Essex County, LaSalle. The host to the yearly Strawberry Festival and located approx. 10 minutes from the Ambassador Bridge, LaSalle gives the perfect balance to big city living, in a small town setting.
Our next town, was founded in the 1800's, and is home to Fort Malden. Proving to be a pivotal location for the War of 1812, Amherstburg mixes history with beauty. It's yearly Garden Tour will give you the perfect image of what this town has to offer. Also in the near future you will be able to take a tour on the historic recreation of the H.M.S. Detroit. If historic re-creations, and thrilling walks though history is your thing, be sure to check out Amherstburg.
Kingsville, the name say's it all. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, this town gives you the feeling that you are royalty. Attention all you bird watchers, Kingsville is home of the Jack Miners Bird Sanctuary and Heritage Museum. You can't go wrong with the name Kingsville!
Leamington's famous Heinz Factory, along with the attractive Pelee Island. Does paradise ring a bell? Leamington is home to many of Essex County most humble qualities. With it's compassionate residents, splendour landscape, and the M.V. Pelee Islander (Direct Ferry to Sandusky, Ohio) just think what your missing!

Looking for a more northern location? Well, bordering on the counties of Essex and Kent, rests the astonishing City of Tilbury. Sitting upon the pristine Lake St. Clair, this city comes with the one and only Cove Marina. This marina is home to a wide range of activities, from boating and swimming, to Mini Putt Golf, and Volleyball. What family wouldn't enjoy roasting marshmallows around the Cove's large Fire Pit?

Last Stop! We have reached the heart of Essex County, the City of Essex itself! Located in the centre of the county, Essex is home to the Historic Essex Railway Station.
